After nearly 5 years of having a retail space, we have decided to close the Hero Boutique in the Allentown neighborhood of Buffalo, NY.
This is a very positive and exciting change for us, one we have spent many months discussing. Over the past year or so, the design studio has become very busy, our online sales have increased and we’ve been traveling to numerous national events. All of these things have become a huge part of our business and we’ve found it increasingly difficult to give our retail store the attention it deserves. Because of this, we have made the decision to focus our efforts and energy on the design studio, our services, the Hero online retail stores and related opportunities and national events.
Having our boutique in Allentown has given us the wonderful opportunity to meet so many great people and the chance to form many cherished and lasting relationships. The support we have received from all of you in the last 5 years, is beyond appreciated. These things are all truly invaluable to us.
Moving forward, we are temporarily moving our studio and print setup into our home and we will continue to maintain all of our online retail outlets such as our web store and etsy store, as usual. We will be launching a new, easier to navigate web store by summer, with even more products available. Additionally, we will be able to attend many more events both in Buffalo and across the country and we have plans for pop-up shops here in Buffalo and in other markets. We will have more info on these events as they happen.
We are very excited about this decision and cannot wait to start another great chapter of Hero!
Hero will be on the road from Saturday, March 12 – Wednesday, March 23 attending Flatstock 29 at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. The Hero Boutique will be closed during this time. We will reopen on Thursday, March 24 with regular hours running until April 2. During this time, we will be open for business as usual, and we will also be selling scratch and dent and misprint posters at discounted prices, to make room in our inventory. Additionally, we will have vinyl and plush toys on sale. All of our regular merchandise including gigposters, art prints, clothing and other handmade goods from Hero, will all be available at regular prices. Saturday, April 2 will be the last day the Hero Boutique is open in Allentown.
A very big thanks to you all for making our dreams come true these past few years. We hope to see many of you in our new phase of Hero, too. Please feel free to share and forward this announcement with your friends and anyone you think may be interested.
