Renegade Craft Fair Chicago – September 10 & 11

We are heading back to Chicago this weekend for the 9th Annual Chicago Renegade Craft Fair in Wicker Park. We are super excited about being back for this wonderful event. Summer is winding it’s way down and this marks the end of a crazy and hectic season of travel for us. Even though it’s work, it feels like an amazing end-of-summer party with some of our best friends from all over the country. We’ll be set up near the corner of Wood in booth #112 (see the map below). We’re going to have a brand new Chicago art print, a new feather tee, totes and pillows and lots lots more. Come by and say “hi!”

The Renegade Craft Fair will once again take over Division Street in Wicker Park for our 9th Annual Chicago Fair on September 10 + 11 from 11am – 7pm! Always free-to-attend, Chicago’s biggest and best indie-craft event will feature over 300 of today’s brightest makers of handmade goodslive entertainmenthands-on crafting workshops and so much more! Foodbeverages and libations will also be available!

At the Renegade Craft Fair you can expect to find only the best indie-craft and DIY artisans! Featuring both local and national talent, shoppers can anticipate a vast array of independently designed jewelry, clothing, paper goods, home + garden goods, posters, artwork, plush objects, bath + body products, and so much more!!

At the Fair, attendees can get crafty by participating in a number of interactive workshops, and find inspiration from local businesses who keep Chicago in the loop with all things creative.

Fair-goers can try their hand at letterpress printing the old-fashioned way with Power and Light Press, who will be on-site with the Movable Type Tour, a giant truck-turned-letterpress studio.

Visitors can explore the finer side of fiber with textile workshops and demonstrations all weekend provided by Lillstreet Art Center, who has been supporting artists through residency programs, gallery and studio space, and
education since 1975.

Crafty knitters from the Chicago Waldorf School will bestitching up a storm and giving instructions to passersby, while The Chicago Reader will team up with local talent to assist attendees with a recycled paper make-and-take project.

Local rockers from Girls Rock! Chicago will give visitors the chance to get creative and combine music and craft, while learning about their summer rock camps for girls.

The folks from Marwen will be on-hand selling student-designed cards, and providing information about their arts-based youth development programs for under-served Chicago students.

Animal-loving Fair visitors will also have the opportunity to get information about adopting a new four-legged friend fromGrateful Greyhounds, learn about the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle from Mercy for Animals, and get information about giving felines in need a good home from local no-kill cat shelter the Tree House Humane Society.

Attendees can commemorate their trip to The Renegade Craft Fair by visiting the free photo booth provided by The Magnolia Photo Booth Co., or get creative at the Fair’s free Post Card Collage Workshop provided by The Renegade Gang.

Not to be missed is a curated selection of artists’ wares from theRenegade Handmade storefront (1924 W. Division Street), Renegade’s brick and mortar and online outpost of handmade excellence. Renegade Handmade will also sponsor free artist raffles throughout the weekend.

Food will be available for purchase from Antique TacoBig Bite Catering, and MANA Food Bar, while Black Dog Gelato and Puffs of Doom will be selling sweet treats. Intelligentsia Coffee will be on-hand providing your caffeine fix.

Beer will be available for purchase from Goose Island, and wine will be available for purchase from Lulu B.

Local music gurus from Reckless RecordsDusty Groove, and CHIRP
Radio will be spinning tunes and selling records all weekend.
