Buffalo, New York One-of-a-Kind Test Prints

We just listed the remaining of these one-of-a-kind, Buffalo, New York test prints, at this 16″ x 20 size, that we made back in February for our pop-up shop. The edition was very small, no more than 30 total were ever created.

Each print from the series is unique and one-of-a-kind, as the under layers are totally different and from tons of individual layers from screen prints we have done previously. There are definitely some similarities and repeated elements, but each one is totally special, no two are exactly alike. All of the prints from this series are finished with the same design, in the final layer of black, trapping the unique designs from underneath. We only have 10 of these left at this size and they will not be made again. So when these are gone, that’s it. These special prints make a wonderful gift.

More about what exactly a test print is:

A test print is a magical one-of-a-kind print created from layers of different silkscreen prints we’ve made over time. We keep a large pile of them and use them to get colors right, fix a mistake when screenprinting, realign our registration and for lots of other reasons. Sometimes the layers just come together in such a beautiful way, that a strange piece of paper with lots of stuff is turned into a finished print. Not all end up beautiful, many just continued to get reused over and over while we screen print.
