Adventures In Design Podcast Episode No.10 “This Currency Doesn’t Add Up”

10 episodes of Adventures In Design and counting. Who would have thought we’d make it this far? Probably not Billy and myself. Like most things in this world, practice makes perfect, even though the podcast is still far from perfection, we have been practicing! After recording ten episodes I do feel that there is a significant improvement when comparing this episode to the pilot recorded back in January. I feel like ten episodes is just how long it took to really feel comfortable in front of the microphone and learn how to just let go when sharing our Adventures In Design with the rest of the world.

Hope you’re enjoying the conversation!

About This Episode

A I D E-XTREME! The most E-XTREME Adventures In Design yet!!! Mark & Billy, as always, go over a wide range of non-design related topics, but somehow find themselves ranting and raging on how they may have picked the worst industry in the world to be a part of. The boys are joined in the studio by long time friend John Solimine from Spike Press. John is a Brooklyn-based designer who recently just finished his first iOS app titled Dragon Brush. The interview that follows is a very honest and realistic depiction of what it takes for illustrators to create long-term projects with little to no money attached, thus creating a true labor of love.

Topics:
Why Halloween is so sexy, the branding of the Bull Terrier, amateur soccer fights, Tune-Yards review, respecting rock ‘n roll, soda consumption, the benefits of living in Brooklyn, and more.
